As we enter into 2009 on January 7 we will be celebrating our second anniversary as a church an, therefore, we will enter into our third year of life. Throughout 2008 God repeatedly highlighted a passage of Scripture to us, and it is found in 2 Kings 19:29-30: ...This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bare fruit above.
We are believing that during this third year of life we will begin to reap and eat from what we have sown into our fellowship and community in the previous two years. As we continue to be rooted as a congregation we will start bearing fruit above, above circumstances, above the spiritual apathy and godlessness we see in the land.
Please pray with us that we may continue to do His work and that together with the rest of the Body of Christ in the city of Peterborough and the nation our Lord will become relevant again in the needy world we live.
